Shadowrun

never ever make a deal with a dragon

The year is 2080, and the world is… different. Here’s the short version, chummer: Back in 2012 when the Mayan calendar ended, magic came back. This shook up things pretty good. Some governments collapsed or had to give a lot of ground, (cough cough, USA,) while the Corps stepped up providing, “order.” Now governments are a dying breed, and the MegaCorps pretty much run the show. To boot, elves, orcs, dwarves, trolls and plenty more weird drek are out walking around, while technology has continued to advance at a blistering pace. But you, Omae, you aren’t your typical wage slave! No, you’re a Shadowrunner, a deniable asset for anyone with the Nuyen. Will you survive? Thrive? Or will you end up another stain on the asphalt? If you’ve got the cyber, the magic, and the good luck you can make it big!

I… Love this game. It has the most vibrant world of any RPG I’ve ever had the pleasure of running. The new edition streamlines plenty of the crunch from the past editions. A true pleasure.
